Thoughts on Meditation

The object of meditation is to quiet the mind. Many people including myself use music, mantras, chants, and other "tools" to help with the process. Many of us think this is meditation. Gabriel Cousens shared this thought with us the other day. Thought I wouls pass it on:

The music, chants and so forth are just tools which help us reach the state of quiet mind. Meditation truly starts when we lose the music or other aid we may be using. When our minds enter a state of nothingness is when we are in true meditation.......
